  1. Hi Kayla

    Overall Score: 7/10

You've done a good job of insightfully decoding and analysing the creative decisions on Beyonce's album cover.
You could have added insights regarding the font and size, although the posture and positioning as well as costumes which you comment on, are all great aspects to reflect on.
Taking the star image a step further, you could have made mention of the fact that this album is named after the 'star',making it undeniably all about her image, her brand and identity. 'She is the music'.
Don't you think that the cover reminds you of a womens magazine cover? Even the font. It's very 'Vogue'.
You've definitely hit on the main themes of power and feminism. Empowerment of women.
The fact that she is alone in this landscape also speaks volumes. She is the main event.

Having annotated titles to imagery for things like barcodes / production company logo / special mentions etc, would all add to clearly showing what was where and commenting on them individually in terms of placement / font etc.

    1. Your analysis is also missing the technical conventions of a digipack - things on the list like a front cover / back cover / spine etc.
